Springwatch Trackers is a game and database made by Playniac as part of the CBBC and BBC2 TV series of the same name. On air teams of boys and girls used the database to compete at tracking animals while home viewers were able to access the same database and take part in the challenge by playing the game, which shows live boy versus girl progress.
The database features details and images for 50 UK animals. Users can select from 12 habitats and print animal tracking cards to take away with them. The game simulates tracking a variety of animals in five different habitats. The habitats are generated in mock 3D and have different layouts every time the game is played. When players successfully track an animal, they are rewarded with an unlocked video sequence.
